  1. THE PIECE LOOKS LIKE THE RUPUBLICANS IN THE 111TH CONGRESS, FIGHTING THE DEMOCRATS IN ORDER TO OVERTHROW PRESIDENT OBAMA. IF YOU DON’T ASK, I WON’T TELL ?

  2. The Lame-Duck” session of the 111th Congress, along with a highly professional and seasoned Vice President Biden, did negotiate and succeed in accomplishing an historical amount of the “people’s business”. This all took place in a very short amount of time, just proving my premise that Republican obstructionist took their best shot at trying to defeat President Obama by stalling on all fronts in order to avoid giving him any legislative victories.

Republicans like Jim DeMint and Lindsey Graham wanted to play their game of waterloo and stall until the end of the year when they would take over power in the House with new members for the 112th Congress who would intern overturn all of the president’s legislative initiatives, but guess what? It didn’t work.

To underscore that point just listen to what Lindsey Graham had to say:

Speaking on Fox News radio Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., blasted members of his own caucus for not fighting more effectively to thwart the Democratic agenda.

“When it’s all going to be said and done, [Senate Majority Leader] Harry Reid has eaten our lunch,” Graham said. “This has been a capitulation in two weeks of dramatic proportions of policies that wouldn’t have passed in the new Congress.”

But, at the end of the day, their one great rational intellectually curious Republican Icon who most republicans admire theorized that, “If Barack Obama wins reelection in 2012, as is now more likely than not, historians will mark his comeback as beginning on Dec. 6, the day of the Great Tax Cut Deal of 2010. The Republican in question, Charles Krauthammer. Further elaborating he explained that now, with the stunning tax deal, Obama is back. Holding no high cards, he nonetheless managed to resurface suddenly not just as a player but as orchestrator, dealmaker, and central actor in a high $1 trillion drama.

Krauthammer went on to say that the Republicans are clearing the path for Obama to become reelected and sprinkling it with rose pedals.

    On that note, I concur.

  3. The republicans are beginning to sweat and the heat has not been turned up as yet.President Obama continues to excel and achieve more than any other president in recent history… this in the midst of blatant arrogance, hatred, obstruction and utter disrespect by the republicans. That my president is so intellectual, knowledgeable, smart, diplomatic, charming, cultured and global, that he works extremely hard, honors his promises, delivers on his campaign pledges, and looks out for the “little man” is driving them crazy.

2011 the repubs will be in the majority. The governance of this nation will be their responsibility as well.. no longer can they continue to say NO and blame the President and the Democrats for the failings of “Washington”. They too will be held accountable for how they treat the masses….2012 will be fun indeed!!!

  4. I’ve seen so many photos of the President gazing at art work. His deep curiosity to delve into into his surroundings is a thing of beauty. He’s a thinker and an appreciator of great works of art and for that I am very, very grateful.

  5. Intellect seeks to learn more and more.
    Always taking in, mulling over.

Parents, teach your children to seek learning about anything and everything.

I am sure that is what his mother instilled in him as well.

  6. It’s so refreshing to again have a president who is intellectually curious, who wants to reach out to the world, who isn’t afraid to be a grown-up and to treat the American people as fellow adults.

It’s also refreshing to see all of the supportive comments here. There are so many shrill voices attacking President Obama that it becomes easy to get discouraged and to feel isolated. I’m glad so many of my fellow citizens appreciate the efforts our president is making on our behalf.

  7. All I can say is that these heartfelt remarks mirror the feelings of those of us who have waited for so long to have someone we, as well as our children and grandchildren can look up to as a strong, honest man with a deep sense of responsibility for this country and ALL who live here. As for the photos, I have looked at them many times since receiving them and each time I am just in awe. I see something new and wonderful in each and every one of them, and tears come to my eyes when I look at them. I feel so very blessed to have been able to be a part of all of this. I, for one, am honored to call him My President!!!

  8. The republican scare tactics will not matter in the long run. The windmakers like Issa will never amount to anything this President has or will do to make this country better. Jealousy is a terrible thing when it’s bought out into the open.

  9. Thank you, THANK YOU for this. We Americans can be a selfish, ungrateful lot. Every time I re-read this website, I am uplifted an filled with a fresh appreciation.
