  1. I love this update of our president. I have no doubt that he the best president our country has elected. Besides, the fact that he is the first black president. I am truly proud of him because he got the health care bill passed. Thirty years of waiting for this bill and it is finally here. Every person in the world deserves health care. Now it will be available. Darlene Wilcher

  2. He fully deserves to be there.
He brings dignity and sophistication to the highest office in our land

We should all be proud and respectful and helpful. We should make our voices heard but do so in a manner called for in the Constitution…with civility and decorum.

We should vote a the local level to support national programs.

We should educate our children about their civic duties…and

We must pray for our country and our President !

  3. I love this president not because his black but because he has a heart for the people of american, less then i can say for the other’s in congress, He has really be a true man of God that I ‘am proud to have as my president of this country. They don’t come as real and honestas he has been and yes every one in this country do need health insurance, a good education, and all the american dream , which is a a place to call home. I well contiune to pray to God and ask that america’s do the same that he keep his angle around and over him in this corrupt and evil world that we live in.

    GOD BLESS YOU MR.PRESIDENT

  4. I love this President because is such a great Man in every sense of the word. jealeousy, ignorance, hatred and all the other vile stuff
is running rampant in this country. There are more stupid ditto heads in this country than
you can imagine. Petty, evil people–The devils gang are very busy. They will not win

  5. God bless him always. He not only sets a wonderful example, he also sets a wonderful image for our world to aspire to. We need his strength, and compassion throughout this world. American now has the President it deserves. God Bless President Obama and his family.

  6. Been waiting for another president like this since JF Kennedy. I was only 10 years old then, but I remember the inspriation adults felt when he spoke, the attention he commanded.

This president is not only dignified, well-spoken, well-educated, respectful, multi-cultural, blessed with racial, ethnic, national, and religious awareness and impartiality; but he has proven he is a unifying leader, possesses political and economic savvy, fairness, pragmatism, and he has a VISION for a new future. He also possesses an uncanny awareness of man’s proclivity to imperfection and, when he speaks, men listen, are inspired, and they follow.

WHY ARE WE NOT ALL IN AWE OF SUCH A LEADER? WHY ALL DO NOT ADMIRE and APPRECIATE this COURAGE, STRENGTH and such a HUMBLE SERVANT?

DO NTO BE BLIND! BE GRATEFUL!

  7. This President deserves to hear from all Americans “Mr. President,What can I do to help?”

  8. Mr. President, you have a tremendous responsibility to be a leader and a peace broker in the world – God would not have put you there if He/She did not believe that you could handle this. God will never leave you alone and your people – Americans – will be of support.

  9. What a wonderful evening it is — here in the Nations’ Capitol. I live near enough to the Capitol Building to see it when I leave the Senior Citizens
Bldg. where I reside. I have lived here in D. C. since 1941 when I was just over four years of age; but the last two years have been the proudest of my lifetime.

Yes, I remember my Great-grandparents listening to the Roosevelt Fireside chats and I recall how thy cried when he died in 1945. I thought he was a relative because they spoke of him in such reverant and respective tones. (there was no T.V. so I did not know that he was of a different race — I was only eight).
Although we could not vote for anyone, at that time; my Great-grand parents taught me love of country and thhat GOD would always bless America.
The Truman tears brought continued hope for these “United” States and my Great-grand Father felt that Harry S. Truman was a fair and honest man because he was a Mason and did not hide behind the F.B. I/ or Secret Service men. Ofcourse there were not as many nervous, hateful, crazies lurking ready to pounce on any one whith which they disagreed.

The Kennedy era was more real to me and we were all saddened by the murders of Him, his Brother Robert, and ofcourse Dr.Martin Luther King. I will recall exactly where I was when those events took place; my world will never be the same. I learned the need for integrity in Civil Servants and that every one waas not as warped as J. Edgar Hoover who had his own fiefdom within the F.B.I. for years.

Well, I digress. I thank GOD daily that I have been spared to live through the Coal Miners Union years of John L. Lewis, the AFL-C IO years of Meany and others and vicariously knew of the Auto Unions and how Familiies grew in a stabile Detroit, MI. environment. Yes, many things changed because the Unions had to be forced to let minorities have a piece of the pie. When I was very young there were few, if any, Negro Plumbers and Electricians in the Union trade programs or being hired even here in the District of Columbia.

At age 75 I am excited daily to read this blackwaterdog press and will be forever grateful to whomever sent it to me last Fall.
I pray daily for our President and his entire Family. I pray continued good health to those that respect and honor the Office of the President and act accordingly. The loving Grand Mom that handles the background lives of the Daughters is to be commended for the role she has played and continues to play for her Daughter Michelle.
I am so thankful to live in the same City as our Dear Representative Eleanor Holmes Norton; she too has made many personal sacrifices for the good of this Capitol City; something must be done about those vindictive Representatives that reached out to attack her and the other Representatives during their first week in town. They came with a “seek and destroy” mentality. I am amazed that so many americans find it in their hearts to elect those kind of people that want to reach out and demean others, for no reason. They come to D.C. seeking to take back what ever self-determination we have acquired over the past 25 years. We too are Americans. Our Husbands and Sons have bled and died for this Country — who do they think they are ??

Thanks for the daily updates from “The Peoples House” I once shook the hand of President Lyndon Baines Johnson in the Rose Garden and met Presiden Clinton during his first year in Office; so I hope and pray that I will meet this Presidential Family before I die — especially the Grand Mom — she is really special and I need to tell her that we Seniors love her dearly.

  10. I totally agree. He deserves to be our president, a president truly “of the people”.

His grace and dignity never waivers, even when he is met with the most “undignified” attacks on everything he is trying to accomplish for everyone, and not just a “few”.

I pray for him daily to stand strong, and never lose his focus on what is “right”.
