  1. Thank you Mr. President and First Lady Michelle for your example for all of us of grace under fire, for all you have done for us, for your working so hard to effect bi-partisanship with an obstinate Republican Congress.

  5. Thank you President Obama for being brave and mature enough to know that all battles cannot be won and that you cannot sacrifice the lives and well being of millions of Americans by standing on principal at a time of crisis. I appreciate your pragmatism and determination to make the right decision even though it may not be the most popular. I knew that you would not have an easy time as President but I continue to support you in all that you do.
You are a shining example of a great President, husband and father and an inspiration to the black community. Continue on your course and do not be disheatened by the nay sayers. Just know that we have your back.

  6. Thanks Mr. President and family for enduring so much nonesense when we all know you have such a good heart and trying harder for the people than anyone has in decades. And you take this with such grace that it is an inspiration to me.

  7. My husband and I would like to thank God for you and your wife and family for allowing us to share you. The Nation is in such good hands. Now need to allow you to do what you need to get things done. Stay strong and continue to trust that God will keep you strong enough to pull us through. Thanks so much for all that you try to do. Sincerely, “The Byrd Family”

  10. Dear Mr. President,

May God grant you and your family a year of peace, health, and happiness.
You are still on the top of my A list. Who else in the history of our great country ever stepped in to all the problems you did.
    No one.
Again, God take care of you and yours.
    Blessings,
    Rhoda Kurzweil aka motherwho@aol.com

  11. My prayer for you and yours:

May God’s grace, love and Blessings sustain and provide you with the courage and strength to put into action your well thought out actions and ideas for the benefit and well being of all the people. You are so Blessed with the passion and love of fairness for mankind and the fortitude to improve anything that can be … and the conviction that what is needed should be available wherever & whenever possible. May you always recognize and desire to follow God’s guidance and accept with an honest open heart and mind the righteous help of those of like intention.
Most of all … Know what you KNOW it to be then act upon it … but Think long and diligently; about what you THINK it is before acting on it. ALWAYS with humor and kindness.

  12. Thank you Mr. President for all the hard work you do for all of America. When some we must take back our country, I wonder what country they are talking about. No one have taken America away. 16. Mr. President: You are the Strongest, Coolest,Most Caring, Dedicated, Admirable Male Person that have ever lived, other than Jesus.

Your Love and Concern for the American People is totally Awesome! Michelle is not in your shadow; for she is a Strong Sister in all that she does and definitely stands by her man. She is definitely a Jewel in her own right.

Your children are beautiful, god fearing, and well raised and behaved children. Examples that You, Obama as well as Michelle have set for them reflect their character in a most positive and germane way.

I AM SOOOOOO PROUD OF YOU MR. PRESIDENT,
BARACK OBAMA, JEHOVAH IS WITH YOU!
KEEP YOUR HAND IN HIS HAND, AND HE WILL
GUIDE YOU, JUST KEEP ON ASKING HIM.

  17. Thank you Mr. President on an outstanding job during your tenure as President of The United States. I appreciate the job you are doing for the country and the appreciation shown for our young military personnel. It is a joy to watch the citizen of the country return their appreciation to you. As a retired and disabled veteran I would follow your leadership under any circumstances. My daughter is in her 13th year of her career and she also appreciate you and the job you are doing.
    Thank You Mr. President

  18. Mr. President,
America is so blessed to have you as our President.I am not eloquent enough to truly express the gratitude I feel for ALL you are doing for our country, but please know that what you have done and are doing is appreciated! Take good care of yourself and your beautiful family.
    Thank you.

  19. It is so wonderful to be proud of my president again. I can’t think of a single thing that would ever make me regret my vote. I will never forget the wonderful feeling I had in November 08 when he was elected. I will never forget the wonderful inauguration 2 months later…

  20. Thank you, Mr. President, for a job well done these last two years. As a civil servant, I do understand the sacrifice we also had to make for our country. You, the First Lady and the First Family set good examples to the American public. We as the American people have nothing but pride for all you do! Keep up the good work!

  21. Dear Mr. President,
We are in continuous prayer that God will “keep on blessing you” to be empowered to continue to do the great things you are doing for the world and especially for our country. We thank God for you and your family! May He bless the First Family with a happy, healthy and hopeful New Year!
God loves you and so do we!
    Sincerely,
    Jesse and Mary Hawkins

  22. Mr. President,
It is an honor for me to have this opportunity to tell you just how proud of you and our First Lady we are. You are the best examples of what Americans should be and your humble spirit will always speak louder for you than any negative remark. The effective, fervent prayers of the righteous availeth much. Keep the faith; God bless you.

  23. Mr. President – It’s a bit trying to watch you negotiate the politics of destruction that have stained our social fabric. But I’d like you to know whether I’m feeling frustrated or elated I’ve been in your camp, because you’ve always tried to do whats right for hard working middle class Americans. Fight the corporate interests, expose them at every turn and you will have little trouble gaining a second term. We can only hope that by your example you’ll bring along those Democrats (and some Republicans) who are scared to stand up for the principles of fairness and equality for all. Thank you and your family for the sacrifice and have the Greatest of New Years.

  24. I agree completely with all your thoughts. He is, I’m sure, a fantastic inspiration to the black community, and for that I’m grateful. However, I think the black community ought to know that he also inspires multitudes in other communities, too!

This photo tribute is perfect. No, I take that back. It will only be perfect when we get to see the NEXT TERM’s pictures added to it!

    ~~from a 60 year old white lady who’s a “reformed Republican.”

  25. Some of us absolutely do know that and treasure it, Proud Democrat! It’s a shame that because average Dems don’t have any voice in the media, people might be tricked into believing that other nationalities in the Democratic base dislike President Obama. Poll after poll after poll shows how utterly untrue that is. Thank you a million to everyone here for raising your voices. Great comment!

  26. Thank you Mr.President for being who you are .Thank you for standing up for what you believe is right in spite of so much opposition. You will have my vote again in 2012.
    E.H.

  27. Mr President-Even though so many “Tip Toe’around it, We know God had plans for you and all of us as a nation, A grooming if you will. Well, Look at your accomplishments in 2yrs as opposed to the “many” years of failed plans. Some may not see it but God is now showing how he will no longer let us Tiptoe around Racism, Hate and Ignorance and through your Love and Brillance Mr. President ,there has been an awakening among those who could not see the forest for the trees or the beauty of the human existence dwelling beneath the color of one’s skin.God bless you and your family “near and far”. Through his guidance we will prevail.
    Happy New Year.

  28. Barack Obama is and will be regarded in history as the best President America has ever had. In his calm way, he gets things done that enhance all American’s lives and improves the world situation. President Obama puts all Americans before himself. What a gift he is to our country !

  29. Thanks Mr. President Obama. I apreciate all that you have done while dealing with all the complexed issues you have and had to deal with. It does’t feel fair that all our elected did not support you in your difficult decissions to change the almost impossible changes you tried to implement. To make the United States Of America the Number one country we claim to be. GOD Bless You and GOD Bless the United States Of America. USAF Veteran.

  36. Thank you, Mr. President, for your wonderful speech in Tucson last week, for your compassion and perseverence despite so many unknowledgable and critical citizens.

  37. Mr. President
Truely, you are THE ONE the world has been waiting for. I never cast a more concrete VOTE until I voted for you. Our Moses was Dr. M. L. King and our Johusa is you. We thank GOD for that!!!!!!!!!

    James & Mary Alexander

  38. Mr. President, thank you so much for your service to our great country. You have and are making great progress and I’m ever so proud of you and First Lady Michelle. Continue to do what you are doing and we will, “We Can”, and we are. God bless you and your family and may we get to have you for a second term in The White House.

  39. I just received “I’m grateful” from my sister and cried my eyes out. I am so ecstatic and relieved to find like-minded people. Almost all we ever get in the media are negative things. I don’t understand why President and First Lady Obama’s achievements are not more prominently reported. I’ve been trying to find a way to fight this trend. But I’m one person alone. How can we get more people to speak up? Maybe this blog could be the answer.

  40. This president is the best in my lifetime & I am glad that I Could vote for him! I am tired of the overly negative things in the media. I believe most of it stems from prejudice & ignorance.

  41. Thanks, Mr. President.
You have not stood on the bank of the river, but moved into the deep waters of our Nations problems . I’m proud of you.

  42. Thank you Mr. President Obama,
I am so very proud that you are there in the White House for me and the rest of the WORLD.
For all the things, all the good, and all the support I ever wanted to do and give for the people I love and for his great Nations are now being done through you Mr. President. This is why I have made a commitment to support and give to the Fight and the hard Work of this
presidency and Administration Body to continue this Country forward and positive needed progress, to all (supporters) please give what you can. Thank You, Sincerely Mr.President,BARACK OBAMA, and Family

  43. Bless you Mr. President & First Lady – Our Father in Heaven protect you and keep you in His hands safe & may the Holy Spirit comfort you.

  44. By my being close to 50 years old & being one of the baby boomers, I’ve been exposed to everything from the pot-belly stove to the microwave; from the Model T Ford vehicle to the electric vehicle. Being part of an era that has elected a president such as Mr. Obama & first lady, Michelle, has been one of the best transitions I’ve experienced. It is an inspiration to know of him and the values he poses for himself and his family. Barack, regardless of what right or wrong, good or bad decisions you make for our country, it is good to know that you have been chosen by the people to make them for our country. And it is good to know that you have the experience and the fortitude to make those decisions for us. We love you Barack and Michelle. May God continue to bless you and yours.

  45. Excellent! Excellent! Job well done. Very moving and will serve in history as a Masterpiece.

  46. You have been an inspiration to many. Keep the GOOD work and know that GOD in heaven through the Son Jesus Christ is your strength. Trust in Him at all times.
    Congratulations! Keep up MR PRESIDENT

  47. Thank you for a wonderful two years of good and visionary leadership.
Please don’t forget about us inmigrants, we are people also. Men and Women with families tha need to bring bread to our tables, a roof over our children’s heads and love that is being taken away from our children for having to have work two and three days just to make ends meat.

  48. Mr. President, I can’t imagine what it would be like, awakening in the morning, and knowing that all hell could break loose at any second. You have displayed, time and time again that you have the courage, and intelligence to deal with what ever comes your way. I cringe at the thought of having our prior president, or your opponent in the last election trying to manipulate our government in any of these crisis modes. Thank you, and may all of the Gods bless you as you guide our nation.

  49. Mr. President, Please don’t give up your dream for a better future. But remember the past. The marriage contract was written
to merge one financial party with another. There is nothing in the contract that requires procreation. Many older people
marry and are no longer able to procreate. When the marriage dissolves, the finances are divided not the children, they just
move back and forth between parents. Please let the federal government recognize a marriage between people of the same sex. Let religion
take care of the religious aspects.

Thank you for all of your hard work, especially on the Dream Act.

    Pauline George
