“Sprawling lawns in front of 20 room mansions hosted despicable hatred, lies and racial epithets about Obama”

I don’t think I’ve ever felt more shame for my fellow citizens than I did riding through Darien, Connecticut on my way to visit a relative who works in Wall Street.  Sprawling lawn after sprawling lawn hosted despicable hatred, lies and racial epithets about our President.  Whining signs in front of 20 room mansions was “nauseating” to me, to borrow Mayor Booker’s words.  These people evidence a disturbing degree of petulant immaturity and indifference to others along with an astonishing lack of responsibility.  In the 50’s we called them the Ugly Americans.  We were right.
