  1. Good morning, friends. let’s keep the pressure On. I have THREE doctor appointments today (waiting now at number one), but I assure you phone calls will be made in between.

OT: Today is my (remaining) grandson’s 10th birthday. He has been gone from home most of July…..with us for 11 days, trip with his family one week and scout camp this week. He is homesick and ready to go HOME…..see baby sister, etc. Daddy is with him and he is still homesick. Hugs to my “little man.”

  2. The Republicans are out there spewing lies on every channel. I’ve already had to write a shame on you e-mail to Bloomberg.

  3. Did not MindlessJoe have Norquist on today to spew his lies and partner with Mr. Alarm Walker former comptroller. TV channels have turned him into a TV star but that does not make his assessments of the budget valid. My reactions to him are universally negative. He never supports the President. Never mentions the damage the repugslugs are doing to this country. Saw a montage of dems but no live appearances-all repugs. Marxh Blackburn got 45 minutes on CSpan to put her poison out first. She was followed by Pascrell (D-NJ) who did not focus on the lies she told. So I guess he is not there for rebuttal purposes. I feel sick.

  4. Good morning everyone! Right now the pressure is so strong from the evil side. But we will stay strong. Keep those phone lines burning, tweeting and whatever we can do. I will be working today but during down times I will be sending out emails. Can’t make phone calls. In my heart I know this country is strong. I just pray for our congressmen to stay strong. We know our President will. We can do it!!!!!

  5. Some teabagger congressman on NPR this morning but a good blunt hard hitting interview.

  6. The only way we can win this is to keep the pressure up. The President did not ask us to pressure Congress as an exercise. We’re fighting for the stability of the country and the world. A few crazy and ignorant people are holding the US hostage. We have to push back.

  7. Mornin’ All,

WE will “survive” to come out on the other side, stronger and better than ever…

So, let’s keep “crashin'” those Congress’ and local/state-elected officials’, especially those ๐Ÿ‘ฟ TeaPUBLICANS, sites…Grrr! ๐Ÿ˜ก

And, WE will keep the FAITH & HOPE alive, too!

By the way, BWD, where’s a pic; those “famous” story-tellin'” pics of yours โ“ They’re missed by the ‘TOAITR’ family! ๐Ÿ˜‰ lol

  9. Mornin’ hf2,

Thanks for this heads up, she’s gonna tell it like it is!

And, you’re appreciated for what you do for us! ๐Ÿ˜‰

    Have an enjoyable day!

  10. Front page news on all Chgo area newspapers—–Joe Walsh, the worst of the baggers, who has been yelling insanities about fiscal responsiblities and yelling “Stop lying, President Obama”—-is being sued by ex-wife for $100,000 in unpaid child support for his 3 children. Also being sued by former campaign mgr. for $20,000, also home foreclosed. Couldn’t support his kids but could go to Mexico and Italy with a girlfriend. I’m on the road today. Please feature and spread all over the place. This person has been despicable:

  11. Mornin’ OSG, I don’t have a TV…

So, I cannot watch/listen to their BS.

    That’s a good thing!

But, I still know what they’re all about.

That’s why I will continue to Call, Email, Write, et al in response to PBHO’s ‘call to action’ until…

    Let’s ROLL! ๐Ÿ™‚

    YES.WE.CAN…DO.(Much)More, Together!

  12. The fact that he walked away from a mortgage and didn’t pay and had trouble with taxes was known before the election (not the child support thing) and he still won. Bean ran a horrible campaign.
The child support thing destroys him, but he is already on record saying he doesn’t care what his constituents think. If they don’t like it, they can kick him out next year.

  13. A sentence from a PoliticusUSA post suitable for tweeting….

“We could have had this deal in a day if it werenโ€™t for the House Republicans.”

In fact, it never would have been an issue because as we know, we raised the debt ceiling seven times in eight years under Bush Jr and no one cared then that Bush was leaving the wars totally off of the budget while he spent away on entitlements. John Boehner, Mitch McConnell, Jon Kyle and Eric Cantor were all there then. They approved the debt ceiling time after time, year after year. Itโ€™s just now that a Democrat is trying to pay off their bills that they suddenly demand a deficit plan to accompany the debt limit being raised. Combined, they voted 19 times under Bush to raise the debt ceiling. Clearly they know how to do this.

    Country First?

IN OUR FIRST SESSION OF WHITE HOUSE OFFICE HOURS, Brian Deese, Deputy Director of the National Economic Council, ANSWERED YOUR QUESTIONS on the President’s speech last night and the ongoing deficit debate. CHECK OUT THE WHOLE TWITTER Q&A BELOW OR OVER ON STORIFY…

  15. NPR’s story was a Boehner fluff piece. Intrrviewed Allan West, deadbeat Walsh, and all anti-Obama West constituents. Nothing on differences in plans, problems with short-term extensions, nature of cuts, or sense that public on polls supports balanced approach. NPR no more fair and balanced than Fox. The media colludes with GOP.

  16. Mornin’ MTmarilyn,

    No fear, Yes WE will…

If PBHO can do what he does under such circumstances, they can!

And, don’t work too hard; have an easy day of it!

  17. The Teapublicans started this manufactured and diversionary crisis for strictly political reasons, yet they blame the President for THEIR contempt for him and THEIR dysfunctional governing techniques. The obfuscation and unaccountability of the GOTP has gone below reprehensible and the MSM’s pandering to the most unreasonable and inept among their party is indecently propagandist and irresponsibly pathetic considering the circumstances.

The “reasonable” (relatively speaking) members of the GOTP who recognize its urgency that are ready to raise the debt ceiling are simply ignored by the media. Can’t have THEM in the news…. because that would decrease the melodrama and may cause “some” people to realize just how “FUBAR” the “core” of the GOTP truly is and they “may” dismiss their hypocritical, irresponsible, childish BS like most of us already have… a loooong time ago.

We have GOT TO do anything and everything we can to elect a Democratic majority back into Congress in 2012. Because frankly, I don’t think I can take 4 more years of this unproductive, despicable madness from a Teapublican majority Congress that is surely destroying the fabric of Democracy with every move they make and every action they take. I’ve said it before… I’ve never “hated” anything or anyone, but I am beginning to understand the emotion of Hate whenever I think about the GOTP.

    Obama/Biden/Pelosi/Democratic Super Majority Congress/2012

  18. No problem, WE will…

Because WE are goin’ to do a better ‘campaign’ job than WE did in 2010, he can “bet” on that! ๐Ÿ˜‰

    Joe Barton (Texas)
    Dan Benishek (Mich.)
    Dan Burton (Ind.)
    Trent Franks (Ariz.)
    Randy Hultgren (Ill.)
    Raul Labrador (Idaho)

    Tom Latham (Iowa)
    Tom Marino (Pa.)
    Jeff Miller (Fla.)

  22. undecided about what? How to vote for boner bill or raising debt ceiling?

  23. Thank, dotster…we we talking about that last night over at TOD….by the way, were you able to snag the list I posted of all the R’s that signed the Norquist pledge you wanted?

  24. df, mornin’ to you, too!

  25. I come here very day for my morning lift (better than coffee). I was blue earlier today because the Arizona Repulsive carried a big editorial this morning claiming that PBO’s call for the voters to contact their Congresspersons was a sign of his “weakness and lack of leadership.” Jee-wizz, that hurt. And Jon Stewart said the same thing, too.

I come back in here for the antidotes to that kind of poison – and thanks to all of you, I get it. Calling for voter action was the right thing to do. The only thing that gets the GOP’s attention is threats to their incumbency. Appeals to their sense of duty from their President mean nothing to them. They are not even embarrassed about looking like idiots!!!

  26. Don’t pop open the champagne just for one lucid moment….glad he called them out, but Grandpa can change his mind in flash, and forget what he just said 2 seconds ago

  27. ARE YOU KIDDING ME???????????????????????? I live in AZ, I stopped getting that RW cat pan liner a long time ago! Looks like I have someone ELSE to call today…for crying out loud. Who wrote that editorial????

  28. Pelosi should be speaking any minute now?

Repugs came out of their meeting with not a word to say.

  29. There was no byline on the piece — it was the main one of the day — leftmost column. That’s usually from the AZ Repl editorial staff. Their “official” position on things.

  30. Waiting for Pelosi, I watched the last part of the CSPAN featuring the GOP freshmen — who are still insistent on passing the Boehner plan. ๐Ÿ˜ฆ It’s half-past Thursday and we still have no deal. I hope we get some hope from Nancy!

  31. Good Morning Everyone:-)

For your convenience here are the numbers of the Teaparty ,

    Don’t let up…Keep Calling.. ….call..call pass this list around…

    thank you:-)

    Jean Schmidt (Ohio) 202-225-3164

    David Schweikert (Ariz.) 202-225-2190

  32. Like the president said…We need to raise the ceiling ‘Not to increase spending, but to pay bills we have already rung up’.

The Re-Ts keep using the ‘family budget’ parable, but while a family may need to curtail spending and raise revenues, they aren’t allowed to simply not pay for things they have already bought.

  33. Yeah, whatever “THEY” say…I do the opposite. I’ll have to find it….

  34. There is so much going on. Press Secretary Jay Carney will be briefing the jackals at 11:00 a.m

I am waiting for Speaker Pelosi right now. She’s walking in now, at the podium.

  35. smiling18dy, yes he did and no he doesn’t…

But, that’s alright, in the end, they’ll get their comeuppance! :Virtual Hug:

    I truly BELIEVE THAT! ๐Ÿ˜‰

And, I don’t watch/listen to the TeaPUBLICANS’ “rubbage!”

  36. Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi is making it plain. She is explaining what each party stands for, what’s important to each. She is terrific. I just love her so much.

  37. You are absolutely right, eclectic. Truth is, many of the President’s and Democrats’ policies today are right of Nixon’s, but this is because they must work with the current zeitgeist, which is the result of 30 years of regression in responsible governance. President Obama is performing better than anyone else could possibly perform in his situation, chipping away at the extensive damage done in the previous decades in the face of the looniest and meanest opposition in recent US history, a hostile and facile media, and a largely-uninformed populace. The way forward seems very clear to me. Replace the rightwing extremists with Democrats, even if they are conservative, keep the Presidency, get a solid majority in the House and Senate, and then push the Democrats to the left, while working to get a better media and an educated populace. Whatever wrong is being done now can be undone as we make steady progress in changing our politicians and the minds of the people. These goals are not for the angry or the impatient , but unless they are met, our country will continue its downslide. I believe there are two key issues with which to begin: eradicating poverty (because who can think or perform well when survival is the prime concern?) and improving our educational system to one which embraces the uniqueness of each child and is geared to critical and creative thinking rather than rote learning and which gives everyone who wants it access to higher education. Whoa, have I laid out a difficult path or what?

  38. LH thanks for the “live-bloggin'”…

    As Tyra would say, “She’s F-I-E-R-C-E!” ๐Ÿ˜‰

    YES.WE.CAN…DO.(Much)More, Together!

  39. Great job, Nancy. I only wish average Jo Voter watched CSPAN! Have to post this video.

  40. I dont think we should take this moment seriously. For 1) he needed a chance to bang PBO, 2) he is trying to repair his ruined reputation as maverick and 3) he smacked a couple of rw members to get his cred as maverick. In truth he knew he would get on every tv and likely on the Sunday shows this week. He is a snake, a liar and a traitor.

  41. I am wondering what everyone thinks about the House of Rep Democratic press conference yesterday. Were they expressing panic? were they trying to make headlines to get Amerian people used to the idea that PBO might use the 14th? Or did President Obama send them out to rattle the repugslug/traitors? I cannot decide.

  42. Yesterday I edited the clip of the Dems speaking out in favor of their bill and against the house bill. This is only 5 minutes so should be easier for folks to follow.

  43. Good list, but you left out the hard part: How to get these things done in the face of strong forces who are better served with an ignorant populace, which does not understand its own interests. I do not really have an answer, but I think one needs to limit the power of (unelected) individuals, i.e. rein in capitalists. Not sure how one can do that in this country, though:-(
Anyhow I do not want to sound depressing, many things can be done and should be done.

  44. Add jon stewart to the lost credibility list of the pl

He said obama was quitting on his country by not having a better idea than calling congresspeople which MANY people took time out of.

  45. But a year is a long time to wait to get Joe Walsh out of office and off the political scene, Japa21. Walsh must be exposed and overexposed in order to neutralize the damage that he is trying to do to President Obama. Walsh’s widespread visiblity on cable tv gives him a forum to spew his lies about the President. Remember, he is one of the nastiest if not THE nastiest of the ” teaparty gang.”

We must stop the MSM from giving him a public forum. The recent child support lawsuit should make it difficult for Walsh to appear on the news to spread lies that the President is not “fiscally responsible” without being questioned about his own fiscal irresponsibilities. If we keep the pressure on, the MSM will be forced to either report the child support scandal or to decline inviting Walsh on the air.

  46. Our “Energizer Bunny” Prez keeps goin’, goin’ and goin’!

    So, let’s keep ROLLIN’ w/him! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Today[Jul 27th], patients suffering from diseases like Alzheimerโ€™s, Parkinsonโ€™s and heart disease and their families got good news when A FEDERAL JUDGE RULED IN FAVOR OF THE GOVERNMENT IN A LAWSUIT challenging the Obama Administrationโ€™s work to support stem cell research.

While we donโ€™t know exactly what stem cell research will yield, scientists believe this research could treat or cure diseases that affect millions of Americans every year. THAT’S WHY PRESIDENT OBAMA HAS LONG FOUGHT TO SUPPORT RESPONSIBLE STEM CELL RESEARCH…

Less than three months after taking office in 2009, the PRESIDENT SIGNED AN EXECUTIVE ORDER that removed barriers to responsible scientific research involving human stem cells. The previous Administration allowed the National Institutes of Health to fund human embryonic stem cell research on cell lines created before an arbitrary date, August 9, 2001, but prohibited research on cell lines created after that date. The Executive Order signed by President Obama lifted this restriction…

For too long, patients and families have suffered from debilitating, incurable diseases and we know that stem cell research offers hope to millions of Americans across the country. PRESIDENT OBAMA IS COMMITTED TO SUPPORTING RESPONSIBLE STEM CELL RESEARCH AND TODAY’S RULING WAS ANOTHER STEP IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION.

  47. Well, if that was a sign of weakness, the American people didn’t think so. Did they? Because they answered the president’s call to action.

Some Americans like Stewart like their politicians tough, talking trash and lying to them every step of the way. Ask George Bush. Just last night the mask was revealed on another of these tough talking darlings that people like Stewart likes so much.

Jon Stewart does not register on my radar. He does not impress me in the least, not anymore.

  48. What could be more democratic than the American people making their voices heard to their elected officials? I just can’t figure Jon Stewart out. I can’t watch his show any more.

  50. Yes, you have laid out a difficult path Shelia… but it’s the BEST plan… and in the words of Frederick Douglass, “There is NO progress without struggle”. In order for America to progress and become a stronger Nation, education that EMPHASIZES “critical thinking” skills and socio-economic policies that are fair and balanced are key elements. This austere oligarchical plutocracy promoted and being implemented by the Teapublicans is the antithesis of progress and by definition, truly defines their “con-gress”.

It was also very cute when she related that they had a meeting with Jared Bernstein where he said they were dealing with the difference between WITT and YOYO.

Democratic View = WITT (We are in this together)

  56. OMG!! I just called Schweikert’s office, put on my best hilljack twang, and asked if he was “gonna vote for that Boner Bill?” She said she didn’t know how he felt about that yet, she asked me what I thought, so I said,”I think he oughta vote against that Boner Bill, it doesn’t go far enough. Why don’t those TP folks get a bill of their own? We need to cut this waste and abuse!” SHE LIT UP LIKE A LIGHTBULB WITH JOY! Changed her tone immediately, I guess she was getting pounded before. She asked for my name, I said never mind about that , I wasn’t in his district, I just heard that he didn’t know what he was doing yet, so i thought I would help him along:) Apologys to anyone from the south with a twang….this is cowboy twang more than anything else…I knew all those Thespian awards I got in High school would come in handy one day:) By the way, Trent Franks,( batshit AZ) is a NO> They told me that.

  60. I wonder if there is any precidence or model for recalling US Reps if they are behaving in a reckless treasonous manner? I suppose the rub is proving it and possibly it could only start or happen from the constituents of the Rep. I noticed WI has been somewhat successful in recalling state Senators or Reps. It seems all of us suffer from what the Reps decide. I know they only hold office for two years so that part is good, but can we even take two whole years of these Teapartiers?

  61. There are 14 board members – Rupie and James and 4 other company officers. He probably has dirt on the remaining 8.

  62. You guys have to read this scathing rebuke of Speaker Boehner. It is really good.

John Boehner : The Whipped Puppy On A Short Leash

The debt ceiling debate has turned into an exercise in stupidity on the Republican side because unless the Speaker clears his partyโ€™s proposals with teabaggers and ultra-conservatives, he will lose their support and eventually, his job as speaker. Boehner coveted the speakerโ€™s job and cried like a baby when he assumed the position and is most likely crying every night at the realization that he is no more in charge of Republicans in the House than a Democratic legislative aide.

I do watch “some” MSNBC primetime news but I hardly ever watch CNN… and Fox News is blocked so I won’t even have to surf across that garbage. (smile)

By the way, Melissa Harris-Perry (formerly Melissa Harris-Lacewell) has been excellent substituting for Rachel Maddow this week. Matter of fact, she’s been better than Rachel in my opinion. But I also have to be honest about my bias since I’ve admired Prof. Perry since day one. What a beautiful, ultra-intelligent woman she is.

  66. I try:) This really was fun to do…a diversion from the anger I really feel:) She fell for that schtick, hook, line and sinker!

But our wickedly fatuous media books him on TV and Cable all the time.

He didn’t mind their votes in 2008 and 2010 to win re-election. Now he is upset? Why? Is his bitterness toward America for electing pres Obama, wilting? or has he finally woken up?

    Only time will tell.

I can’t look at Palin without thinking about John McCain. What we are witnessing now is a culmination of the toxic atmosphere created by the half term governor. The reckless decision of Senator McCain has made her a rich woman and has endangered the very fabric of our democracy.

  74. Boehner’s bill will likely pass – but if it does it plays into the Dems hand that it is a far right bill to cater to teabaggers. If it failed than Boehner could have said “See it was a compromise bill I tried to pass but I lost my party and the House Dems locked down their caucus when we could have passed a bipartisan bill.”

So if it passes – the Senate kills it as too extremist. If it fails Boehner is ruined as leader and the Dems can make the argument that Boehner has tried to appease only his party and can’t get it done – it’s time to work with Dems on a compromise bill.

  75. That may well be all or part of tonight’s “more revelations”. The police appear to be working hard on the phone numbers connected to murdered children right now. I want them to get to 9/11.

  76. Now an announcement that James Murdoch will be recalled, and the former head of his legal department called, for questioning. The evening is still early.

  77. Naah. Give him a day or so. He will revert to his old ways. No matter what he does, I can’t forgive him for bringing us the woman from Wasilla, which has resulted in the debasement of our political discourse and has set us back for years.

    He’ll be back.

  78. Jon Stewart
    Ed Shultz
    Green Grendelwald

    have lost their credibility.

Why did Jon Stewart say Obama was quitting on his country after requesting the people call their congresspeople? The people are the most powerful weapon ultimately. Nothing can stop a million voices calling for change.

  79. Please read, it’s like reading a good novel. You will be thrilled.

  80. Cornell west will pop veins at the sight of Sharpton interviewing Obama.

  81. I think it’s because Nelson, Manchin, McCaskill types know that Boehner and the GOP are trying to force uncertainty with another showdown in 3-4 months to keep the economy bad and their re-election chances go up greatly if the economy starts to rebound.

If Boehner’s bill was extended through 2013 I bet it would pass the Senate.

  82. Ok, game on! According to Think Progress, 24 House GOP members have come out against the Boehner plan. If the Dems hold firm, Boehner could afford to lose only 23 of his caucus. The bill is heading to failure!

  83. Senate to quickly dispatch Boehner bill tonight

Reid added that economists believe a short-term extension carries some of the same risks as a technical default.

How can the slow-moving Senate move so quickly, killing a bill within hours of it passing the House? Brian Beutler explained, โ€œ[T]o expedite the process, and to prove as swiftly as possible that Boehnerโ€™s plan is DOA in the Senate, Reid will move to table the bill. All Democrats will vote to table the legislation, Reid has said, and then itโ€™s on to the next step. โ€œ

Suzy Khimm added, โ€œThe advantage of tabling is that itโ€™s fasterโ€ฆ. The disadvantage of tabling is that Republicans will insist that Boehnerโ€™s proposal had a chance in the Senate, and that Reid was simply afraid that it would pass.โ€

The latter isnโ€™t a concern โ€” 58 senators, including every Democrat in the majority caucus, are already on record against the Boehner plan.

This clarity should also remind House Republicans that theyโ€™re sticking their necks out, voting for a right-wing plan that will fail later tonight, even if it passes the House.

  84. FYI… I’m watching C-Span 2 and Sen. Lautenberg (D-NJ) just finished rippin’ the GOTP a new one. In no uncertain terms, he said that the ONLY reason Teapublicans have been so obstinate and counter-productive for the country and towards the American people is to PURPOSELY sabotage any positive gains made and any plans for progress by THIS President.

Way to go Sen. Lautenberg. Point blank, just like that… straight up, NO “chaser”.

  85. Also FYI… the debt ceiling vote is supposed to occur sometime between 5 – 6 p.m. EST on C-Span. Please tune in if you can….

  86. He loved being the mocking anti-President voice during the Bush years so much that now he thinks he has to be the mocking anti-President voice in this administration, even when the President is now a sane and intelligent person and his opponents are liars, thieves, and ignorant fools.

It’s a bit Nietzsche. He who fights with monsters must take care that he does not himself become a monster, etc.; Jon Stewart looked into the Republican abyss, and the abyss looked into him. Sad.

  87. Here are the 24 confirmed “no” votes from the GOP caucus:

    1. Todd Akin (R-MO) [The Hill]
    2. Justin Amash (R-MI) [The Hill]
    3. Michele Bachmann (R-MN) [ThinkProgress]
    4. Paul Broun (R-GA) [Call to office]
    5. Jason Chaffetz (R-UT) [The Hill]
    6. Jeff Duncan (R-SC) [The State]
    7. Jeff Flake (R-AZ) [Twitter]
    8. Chuck Fleischmann (R-TN) [Washington Post]
    9. Trent Franks (R-AZ) [National Journal]
    10. Phil Gingrey (R-GA) [Twitter]
    11. Louis Gohmert (R-TX) [National Review]
    12. Trey Gowdy (R-SC) [NYT]
    13. Tom Graves (R-GA) [Twitter]
    14. Andy Harris (R-MD) [Baltimore Sun]
    15. Tim Huelskamp (R-KS) [The Hill]
    16. Steve King (R-IA) [The Hill]
    17. Jim Jordan (R-OH) [The Hill]
    18. Jeff Landry (R-LA) [National Review]
    19. Connie Mack (R-FL) [Politico]
    20. Mick Mulvaney (R-SC) [The Hill]
    21. Ron Paul (R-TX) [Call to office]
    22. Dennis Ross (R-FL) [National Review]
    23. Steve Southerland (R-FL) [RCP]
    24. Joe Walsh (R-IL) [MSNBC]

Plus, there are two more who are leaning “no”: Michael Turner (R-OH) and Paul Gosar (R-AZ).

If the Dems stand united, Boehner can afford to lose only 23 of his caucus. Of course, arm twisting will be applied, but I don’t think these nutters can be cajoled.

  88. First the Professional Left says that Obama should use the bullypulpit to advance progressive causes and then when he does that they say he has given up…WTH?

  89. I have notice Jon dislike of Obama every since the 67 border thing happen. He really showed how he felt the other night. Jon is a smart man so I don’t buy this he weak thing. You can’t be weak and take out BL the way the president did, it just don’t make sense. Obama put his Job on the line, a weak person will not do that. Jon takes up for Bill O’Reilly but put down the president, He took up for the Wallace man on Fox before Chris Wallace try to make a fool out of him, but said crazy things about the president.
more is behind this beside the PL taking point. It seem like he got some kind of hate for the president. it is not funny any more when he joke about the president. watch how he look when he saying supposedly jokes about Obama his face says it all something else is going on with him about Obama.

  90. Thanks for the info on the time. I will be watching. I am loving the way Majority Leader Harry Reid is handling things. Looks like it’s going to be yet another “Popcorn & Politics” evening for me. Way too much drama.

  91. Stewart is the twit of twits…he likes to compare himself to Mark Twain, he’s more like the Gallagher of political humorists…

Young adults who actually trust him as a news source are just being lazy and spending too much time on video games.

  92. Bruce Bartlett worked for the Reagan administration and he warned about this debt ceiling crisis over a year ago. He was on Chris Matthews last night and in 5 minutes totally destroyed the GOP. The man speaks the truth.

This really needs to go viral. He does not mince words.

  93. President Obama said it best when he said, straight to Jon’s face on the Daily Show…

“Why didn’t you have your rally to restore sanity in 2008?”

And that really says it all. Despite the utter insanity of the W regime and their ‘worst foreign policy mistake in US history’ in Iraq, Jon Stewart never felt compelled to get directly involved in politics and have a rally in DC until President Obama took office.

Stewart used that rally to chastise the Left for daring to call the TP ‘racist’ and everything about his rally had a dulling effect on enthusiasm for the Democrats…RIGHT BEFORE THE MIDTERMS.

Had Stewart done as the president suggested and held his rally before the 2008 election as a condemnation of the W regime that might well have given us the one extra Senate seat we needed to get to 60 without having to bow to Judas-Joe Lieberman.

  94. Never thought I’d see the day when I’d chuckle in agreement with John McCain! That’s what the tea partiers have achieved — congratulations to them, and may they be defeated by good progressive Democrats from here on out and into eternity.
