  3. Oh, dear! The main Irish tv station, RTE, just ran a special on PBO’s race for the Presidency, his promise to come to Ireland, the night he won, and his trip to Ireland. So here I sit with tears streaming down my face once again.

  6. Say hello to all the good people of Ireland and happy July 4th. Henry Healy is on twitter and they are celebrating the US’ Independence Day over there too!

  7. okay. I’m officially confused. Got a WordPress email saying that I wasn’t registered when I tried to login. but then, now I can post. The intterwebs gremlins are up to something…..

I’m going to take a break and enjoy the hot, steamy July 4th festivities here in Philadelphia. PA. There’s nothing, NOTHING like fireworks in the city where our nation was founded (unless, next year, I get invited to the South Lawn of the White House, in which case, THAT will be the best, best, BESTEST place to see fireworks!!)

    Peace, my cool people!!! Enjoy!!

  8. Happy 4th of July.

A lot of the remaining PL faction (on gos) really got happy at the administration for once.

They actually outright praised “obama and the DOJ”. that government taking action was a big deal.

With DADT repeal certification coming and President Obama standing strong against the republicans wanting the rich to get richer, a lot of the bashers on the left should quiet gradually.

The only PL blogger i see on daily kos today is bobswern. The rest of dailykos is very positive today.πŸ™‚

  9. That song always makes me cry. They played it at my Son-in-law’s citizenship ceremony and the family, all of us bawled our heads off. Thanks, Snoopy.

  10. I have been quite active on Old Orange today, pushing back on some of the more egregious posts. And yes, swern is at it again with his usually cast of followers. But I sense that they are heaving their last gasp, knowing that the tide is turning- and in the favor of the President. I see no mention of Grayson, Weiner, Dean or any of their usual heroes.

  11. I left dfox for good and meant it. I’d so much rather help to build up independent spaces than feel helplessly anchored to the mood of a site which is under the control of some very capricious personalities (cough, Markos, cough, lol). With all due respect, I don’t care what they think. I’m sorry, I just don’t.

  12. Happy 4th everyone

I hope you are all enjoying this special day.

Here is a video clip of our President showing once again what a strong, intelligent and thoughtful leader he is.

  13. I’m sendin’ congratulations to our new U.S. citizen!

And, it was my pleasure! ::Virtual Hug::

    YES.WE.CAN…DO.(Much)More, Together!

  14. I always smile when I see that picture of Obama in the black cowboy hat. Fine man. In many ways!
