  2. A delicious early morning treat BWD – what a great way to start the day! Happy Saturday fam – njoy🙂

  3. The guy’s waist must be what, 32 inches ?🙂

Haven’t they heard of cordless phones in WH yet ?

That last baby pic is so cute. Looks like he wants to eat him. I mean the baby.

  4. I don’t think they have a way yet to keep a cordless phone secure. Anybody nearby can also pick up the signal. Now how they have managed to keep his cell phone secure, I don’t know, or maybe he can only use that for chatting, tweeting, etc. I’m far from being an expert on this modern technology.

  5. Good morning wonderful family. BWD, once again you deliver. It has been such a great week following the President! He must be getting tired. But I believe he feeds off everybodies energy. I fired up.

  6. overseasgranny, you have hit it on the true facts. There are certain areas the President can’t talk for the very reasons you said.Signals can be picked out of the air with cordless phones. Also if you notice when the President is on his cellphone he is in the Limo which is like a rolling tank with more electronics that protect his calls. Also when the President makes calls in the Oval Office they must be made part of the official record of the Presidents Administration.

  7. I love all the pictures. Especially the ones with Biden and the one with the baby. I have listened to all the speeches this week. All the different topics is amazing. I continue to be in awe of this man.

  8. Good Morning Everybody.
I have now added BWD’s blog to My Favorites Bar replacing…uh…you know. It was hard. DailyKos was the first blog my old heart got into 3 years ago. Their descent into “madness” is something I still don’t understand.
    NEVERTHELESS,
The only thing that gets my goat are the polls.
But what I see consistently is no matter what Obama’s numbers are, he still beats every last Republican in the field for 2012.
My most exciting event this past week was Paul Ryan getting booed by his own constituents at a town hall. PRICELESS!

  9. I just love photos of the President with babies! I think it’s a way for him to indulge in holding babies without having 100 kids! Lol!!

He just lights up, and I read how he typically makes a beeline for the little ones! Everything he does if for them! He’s trying to think long term to make this country better, not only for his kids, but everyone else’s!

  10. Good morning everyone, Happy Easter Weekend.

Listen, I would like to comment on *META’s* take of our President, In San Francisco. Meta painted a clear and vivid picture what PBO was like close up. As I read her take and comments, It was so real, what It was like. I just wanna say to Meta, thanks for sharing your views of our Beloved President Obama🙂

  11. Thank you, BWD. This post is like getting a basket of goodies
on Easter weekend. I agree with the comment above about polls. People may grumble from day to day or week to week because gas prices are high, they can’t afford a new home and are tired of the one they’re in, the weather stinks, etc., and they take it our on the president when the pollster calls. But PBO will face a challenger in 2012 and the list of potential ones is so awful and the choice between sanity and insanity so stark that I believe voters see our president for the great man he really is on Election Day. I certainly intend to do everything I can to make sure they do.

    Happy Easter to all.

  12. THANKS BWD FOR THE AMAZING PICTURES OF AN EQUALLY AMAZING PRESIDENT! HAVE A HAPPY AND BEAUTIFUL SATURDAY EVERYONE!..:)

  13. Michelle and Jill look like some new hot singing duo. 🙂 They look like great galfriends and always seem to be having such a fun time together.
And the little baby seems to be staring at the President’s head and thinking, “You’re right, you ARE grayer than when you were elected. Not that I would know, I wasn’t born yet, hahaha.”
And there’s our President being so forthcoming, smart, sensible and reasonable again during his weekly address. As is his habit.

  14. Good Morning Everyone

Wonderful photos and videos. Such a treat to come here every day.

I love the one with FLOTUS and Jill Biden. They look like they are having so much fun together.

If you have the time I recommend you sign this petition. Medicare not Millionaires. It is sponsored by Barbara Boxer (my senator) Patty Murray and Chuck Schumer. Every time we see an example of the President and Democrats in Congress working together to send the same message we need to spread the word and offer support.

    http://www.medicarenotmillionaires.com/

    Happy morning everyone

  15. Between meta and that photo roundup, that was such a fantastic piece. What a way to start the Easter weekend.

  16. Yes, exactly. And please be aware that efforts are afoot to put together a third party “libertarian” spoiler campaign: http://blog.reidreport.com/2011/04/re-rise-of-the-naderites-glenn-greenwalds-third-party-dreamin/

We must be on our toes because there are several avenues being pursued in efforts of putting the right wing back into the WH. This does not frighten me one bit however, and I am ultra-excited about Obama/Biden 2012. I cannot thank President Obama enough for his service, I personally refuse to take him for granted and join the whine chorus because I know how much disaster we avoided, and how much he’s already accomplished. We’re not done! Yes we can, yes we did, and yes we will.

  17. Pinkbunny, I particularly love the last one. Eyes wide open and starring right into PBO eyes.

  18. What a delicious mishmash this Saturday morning! I have seen many pics of PBO’s impromptu visit to the Lincoln memorial, but this is the first time I saw that image showing the *whole* huge crowd at the bottom of the steps. Love it. Tourism is likely up at our public monuments because of PBO’s encouragement and attention.

Thanks BWD, and have a great weekend everyone :-D!

  19. Hey Luci1119, thanks so much for your sweet comment. I had such a great time at the rally and still feel the excitement of the evening. Seeing that gigantic gorgeous smile up close and getting that hug was something I’ll never forget. I hope you all get to meet President Obama some day. He is super-extraordinary.

One thing is clear, he is emphatic about wanting to continue to finish the job he’s started. He still has very big dreams for all of us. His faith in all of us is unshakable and that alone is so remarkable and is really the substance of his humanity. HE BELIEVES IN SERVICE, to his very core. The least we can do is work toward that in our own lives, to give of ourselves as much as we can.

  20. And I must say, Reggie Love is very sweet and incredibly good looking, too! Our best buddy Pete Souza is like a very busy bumble bee, buzzing around working to snap the best shots. Sometimes I feel like I was in a dream!

  21. Good morning, everyone, and thanks to BWD for another GREAT roundup.

LOVE the photo of FLOTUS and Dr. Biden. I bet they have a lot of fun together in addition to being the most productive spousal team in WH history, I’m sure.

  22. Happy ,happy Saturday: beatiful pictures.
On The reno Town Hall when he said I am a person of faith and I believe God gave us brains to figure things out aPerfect line)so Mr Trump and your BS are you watching our president? this line was for you mr trump.

  23. Such a great way to wake up in the morning, BWD and a Tigerfist88 picture. Love them!

  24. It sure makes for a happier day coming here and leaving the other sites behind. The future is ours.

  25. I got the email from Senator Boxer and signed it right away. Thanks for reminder everyone.

  26. We are on our way to get a tree later today with my son. The sun is finally shining here in Montana. Going to be a beautiful Blessed Easter. Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.

  27. I also love the picture of him on the patio reading, you can see his big brain taking in information and processing it. He has this focused look🙂 love it.

  28. Carol, that is a great tribute. I am so happy to find all these other blogs! This site has really let me know that we are not alone at all. I want to support all you wonderful people who actually blog. I know it is alot of work.

  29. I also am grateful for this site. I have now bookmarked it so that I come here first off everyday, after checking in on FB to see how my kids are doing🙂

I appreciate the positive messages about our President, I love all the other information you guys post, the info. on all the energy initiatives, etc. I learn so much and by going to the links, I can read for myself, and often print the articles, so I can have something to say to people who try and tell me the President isn’t doing much for us.

I wish you all a Happy Easter.

  30. Thanks so much for the Pete Souza eye candy. What a nice weekend treat. I love seeing PBO with babies.

  31. I know what will big the next big scream from the PL in the coming months.

The free trade agreements with South Korea, Panama, and Columbia. Though the President and his team were able to get key agreements in the deal when it comes to labor, standards, and greater balance. All of this to boost exports and create more jobs. The difference between these agreements and NAFTA is that the trade deal is more fair and balanced.

Also you have Asian and European countries moving along with trade agreements in South America. But the PL will cry that this is a sell out.

(By the way I like the photos)

  32. h/t balloonjuice:

[NYT columnist Charles Blow {warning, his analysis is generally extremely uneven but this is funny}]: I first met Donald Trump a couple of months ago at a cocktail party. Someone introduced us, and he immediately started in on a speech about how beloved he was among blacks. He said that everywhere he went, blacks were telling him to run for president and that some hip-hop stars had told him that he was the most popular white man among black people.

    http://www.balloon-juice.com/2011/04/23/black-people-love-him/

    ***********************

He’s the gift that keeps on giving.

  33. Need to push the GOP budget on medicare as “Vouchercare” – needs to be a soundbyte frame.

“Hands off Medicare – Say No to Republican Vouchercare”

  34. Good day everyone,

Here is yet another amazing photo from Libya of morning prayer in Benghazi (h/t Chipsticks):

    Yes.We.Can. … DO.MORE.TOGETHER.

  35. dr, I thought that baby looked at the President with such wonderment( is that a word?) and awe in his eyes:)So cute.

  36. Love it. We need to come up with a lot of those two and three word slogans. This is a great one.

  37. Thanks for the reminder. I need to get a new vacuum head for the pool. Might as well pick up a new tree while I’m there:)

  38. Cool SR!!

In a lighthearted moment with a colleague I suggested – Obamacare or Voucheritis reminded me of ‘Condom or STDs’ – tough choice🙂

  39. Would that be the “hip-hop” and “Star” on this reality show who wants to win? Donald Chump is such a clown and a joke!

  40. This is how you stop Al-quiada and terrorism, wthe muslim world begins to respect and trust America again.

  41. I love that song and movie. I hope it’s playing on the tee vee Sunday.

    HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE!

  42. According to my Libya Twitter feeds, the rebels have pushed Gaddafi’s army out of Misrata. Not confirmed yet, but if true what great news. That city has suffered so much.

  43. Happy Easter Everyone:-)

Being from the motherland…I wanted to praise Our Great Leader with this song:-)

We Love BWD for all you do to represent this Great Leader of the free world.

We Love you President Obama, may you blessings are a million folds.

  44. I kind of feel ambivalent about the Naderite candidate idea. The PL are trying to convince people not to vote anyway, and anyone foolish enough to listen, will probably vote for the Naderite candidate if they put one up – so no harm for President Obama, since the alternative for those PL fools is not voting. They simply cancel out their vote. The others who may vote for a Naderite candidate will be tea party folks who don’t like their Republican candidates, so they’ll try to stick it to the President in that way. Once again, it doesn’t mean a lost vote for the President. I’m not entirely worried about this prospect, since the President has managed to hold on to pretty much the same percentage of people who got him elected, and once he starts campaigning, that number will surely grow. My two cents…

  45. LMAO! Not this “the black”! GTFOH Chump! He is sooooo gonna flameout, and it will be spectacular.

(Although I still think this may be the biggest prank ever, lol….)

  46. I need to look into this oil speculation thing and try to understand it a little. These jokers need to be jailed for driving up gas prices.

  47. Just visited The Reid Report and read comments on her GG piece. Once again I feel I must thank BWD for all the work she does. I’m sure the crazy that attempts to infest this sanctuary is large and mean. And, BWD reads it so we don’t have too.

    BWD, thank you!!

  48. I think we would have to be careful with that one. Republicans were sold on school vouchers being a good thing, so voucher is not such a dirty word to them. The Republican cousin thinks healthcare vouchers are brilliant. I’d hate to be reinforcing something they like the sound of.

  49. Could be spin, but they Libyan military was saying they were pulling out to let the people rise up against the rebels – I suspect they’re going to have plain clothes military engage in guerrilla warfare rather than uniformed military is armor which made them sitting ducks for NATO planes.

This way they could claim civilian deaths and/or rebels killing anti-rebel “protesters”.

  50. I worry about the electorial effect of gas going up to $6 a gallon as I heard on ABC News this morning on my Progressive Radio station. I also wonder if enemies of this administration are capable of tampering in raising prices so it will affect the election?

  51. According to a CNN article on the story, a TNC spokesman laughed at that assertion. It’s blatant spin to mask a defeat. If Gaddafi couldn’t do it with tanks and mortars and Grads, “tribesmen” won’t get close.

Also according to the CNN article, some Gaddafi units were negotiating with the Misrata revolutionaries to hand over their weapons in exchange for safe passage.

  52. I actually love this Theo, because this particular candidate is a far right Republican who is libertarian about a few social issues and is anti-war. It is another demonstration of the double standards at play in terms of the PL allying with the right wing in order to bash Dems being perfectly fine, yet President Obama compromising with the right wing in order to make progress in a positive, liberal direction is a sellout and just supposedly so wrong.

Each of these incidents is piling up and each time something like this happens, some formerly fauxgressive credulous believers and supporters rethink following these folks. This is great, trust me; Hamsher for example lost a metric ton of support with her Norquist alliance. Each incremental piece of foolery like this gets people to questioning the merit of listening to these folks.😉

  53. It’s not just oil. The speculators now play havoc with metals like gold, silver, copper etc and worse with food items. And sadly, none of the governments seem to care a whit about their shenanigans.

  54. The Obama administration is looking into energy speculation right as we speak, Obama Grandmama. I read something about some issues with some Bushists still burrowed in the bureaucracy who are not watching this issue adequately. Those gas prices are likely the reason for his lowered approvals, and if speculators are causing it, I have no doubt but that President Obama will find out and take steps to stop the misbehavior of these individuals.

  55. You know, when I was watching Lawrence O’Donnell last night I got to thinking, “No!! Lawrence, don’t tell NBC not to rehire Trump!” I got to thinking if NBC does rehire Trump he may decide not to run for the presidency which is the way I’d like it to go. The thought of Trump being the president scares me as badly as having Sarah Palin as our president.

  56. So true!!! Their eyes just light up when they see him! I’ve seen so many smile and laugh when they see the President.

The recent ones where he’s greeting the little girls from Make a Wish, just makes my heart break.

  57. This is far from clever, but maybe it will give someone a good idea:

Knowledge is knowing Ryan’s medical care voucher is just a piece of paper.
Wisdom is not counting on it to cover your hospital bill.
    I’ll Pass on Paper!

  58. President Ali Abdullah Saleh of Yemen has agreed to step down under a 30-day transition plan aimed at ending violent unrest over his 32-year rule.

Officials in the capital Sanaa confirmed the government had accepted the plan drawn up by Gulf Arab states.

Mr Saleh will hand power to his vice-president one month after an agreement is signed with the opposition, in return for immunity from prosecution.

At least 120 people have died during two months of protests.

Opposition leader Yassin Noman was quoted by Reuters news agency as saying he welcomed news of the hand-over but would not take part in a proposed national unity government.

The opposition have been insisting they will not accept immunity from prosecution for Mr Saleh and his family.

If Mr Saleh steps down as expected, he will join Tunisia’s Zine al-Abidine Ben Ali and Egypt’s Hosni Mubarak as the latest Arab leader to lose power because of a popular revolt this year.

  59. kasai who is this with the flute? omg. for americans: he reminds me of gil scott heron’s flutist times a thousand; this is a very good video artistically; thanks again.

  60. to clarify: not the first flutist (she’s excellent as well), the one in the brown outfit. he’s spectacular.

  61. This is great, bwd! So grateful for all that you do, and everyone here. Great town halls (thanks for the videos–my time is so limited so I always miss them when they’re live). Loved the pics, as always–the one with first lady Michelle and Jill Biden is my fave🙂

  62. WARNING THIS IS A PARODY:

Republican Congressman Paul Broun is caught in these secretly obtained out takes from the satellite feed of an un-aired interview he did with a Fox News affiliate. Broun was drinking and apparently smoking Marijuana and asked the host for permission to use the ‘N’ word!

  63. What a sweet video – the whole world is watching and singing! This is right up there with the Irish video called “There’s no one more Irish than Barack Obama”.

I like all the interesting musical instruments, too. Thanks for sharing!

  64. Beautiful, yet kind of scary how so many people put so many expectations on a single individual.

  65. If you are a teacher, or know a teacher, you need to ask them to watch this video clip

Obama on Education: Everyday Teachers are Doing a Heroic Job for Their Kids

To share it click on the youtube icon in the lower right corner of the video, then select “share” and finally use the Facebook, twitter, email or embed links to spread this around.

As a teacher, this is one of my favorite parts of his education speech.

To see talking points, a video clip of Obama’s budget speech on Cutting Defense spending visit whatisworking.com

  66. One more and then I have to get back to work editing video.

My latest strategy is to have a story that is not about President Obama or politics, and then add a clip of the President talking about that topic.

So today I have a story

California’s Climate Change Law Will Create Jobs

At the end of the story I have a 3 minute sound byte with Obama talking about green energy and jobs.

As folks post stories to this blog, I will try and suggest video clips they could also send folks to or if they write a blog video clips they could add to their stories.

I am hoping this could get folks who are reading stories that aren’t necessarily about politics to have a little glimpse of the President. An audience we may not normally reach.

My ultimate goal would be to have a database where all of you folks can search the clips by any subject like “seniors, medicare, green jobs, auto industry”

    Off to edit video.

    http://www.whatisworking.com/2011/04/oil-companies-lied-californias-climate.html

  67. Which is why they came up with it. Vouchers mean privatization to most people…they also mean not enough money to a lot of people. I think we’re safe with this one.

  68. I just sent that to my son & daughter in law. They are both teachers. I come from a family of teachers. That clip brought tears to my eyes. Thank you WIW.

  69. From Robert Deniro: I know Obama was trying to bridge the gap. His intentions are really good. Maybe some things are not as good as we all would like but his intentions are good. A lot of these guys—their intentions are not even good. They’re just playing a game and they’re playing with people’s lives.”

  70. WIW – OFA should have a direct link to your blog, truly!!! (so should the White House).

    Thank you!!!

  71. I am so happy there is this site to come to when I am frustrated, sad, or overwhelmed and I get to see support from others that feel like I do about our Prez Obama. Thank you BWD.
Today I come here joyously to celebrate our Prez Obama. I so enjoyed the posted song from Africa. It was a happy song indeed.
I am happy today as my youngest daughter who is not that young anymore 29yrs.old just called to tell me she is engaged! She was so happy. I met her fiance during the holidays as they both flew here to see me so I suspected it was serious. I could not have picked someone I approve of more for her myself. He gave her the ring on bended knee today on a hike with a beautiful scenic view below them.

  72. Congradulations to you (and your daughter:) So glad that someone wonderful has made her happy.May they love deeply, and laugh long.

  73. I wish I knew GN….I am going to have do somre research..So glad you like the video:-)

  74. Don’t worry, lovepolitics. It’s not about expecting someone to be super-human, it’s about praising people who go out of their way to do nice things and letting them know that the real village, that consisting of day to day folks, see it and we appreciate it. I hope that POTUS doesn’t see things like this and get intimidated or shy; I hope that he just knows that a lot of people are coming together and we put his leadership in place for a reason. He asked, we answered. Great man. And his wife if off the charts. Not to mention his VP and Dr. Biden. Good peoples. We see it, and I love the art which expresses that.

  75. Glad you enjoyed the video.

Some Americans might have great expectations…

We just simply are happy with WHO IS:-)

    and praise him miles away….

  76. This country has so many imbeciles…we appreciate and are happy with this leadership here too but we unfortunately have a really bog boot on our neck consisting of the national media. Right wing libertarians are presented as the liberal base, there is so much corruption here that something as simple as that video would be seen as “controversial” in the US. Pray for us, because we’re going through it. This space is revolutionary; you cannot imagine how people every single day attack us for the simple act of supporting the amazing leadership of President Obama. This country is crazy, even the left. It’s nuts.

  77. Thanks for the congratulations desert flower, Theo67, and mtmarilyn-

This daughter who got engaged today was living and working in China when we were campaigning in ’08. She talked several Americans into voting for our President with Americans Abroad after I sent her the two books Dreams and Audacity to read and pass around there. She has been back in the USA a couple of years now and her fiance is an Obama supporter too.
My oldest son and his wife are Barack Obama supporters and voted for him in ’08. He was a district caucus rep in the Primary in WA state too.
My second son and his wife both caucused in the Primary for Barack and also voted for him in the GE.
My third child and daughter supported our President in the election too. She is a lawyer and helped monitor the GE at one of the voting precincts. She is in Germany this year and next so may need to vote abroad in ’12.
We are all proud of our President and plan to vote for him again.

  78. Carol, great thanks for a wonderful tribute to this exceptional lady who has, every day, heroically lifted our spirits and kept us focused on appreciating the works of this good man we elected President. I am honestly in awe of BWD’s dedication and hard work in ensuring that all the positive news about President Obama, that may be overlooked, or purposely omitted by the MSM, is fully covered on her site. I enthusiastically join in your tribute to, the one, and only one, BWD! I wish you and BWD, and the entire BWD family, a wonderful Easter holiday!

  79. Thanks for sharing Bob! This is indeed an “amazing photo.” I hope It will go along way in causing Obama bashers to pose and think about how he is transforming the image of the U.S. in the Arab world.

  80. This is really a heartwarming video! Kasai, thank you so much for sharing this video. Please let me know how I can get a copy of this video. This is really a must have for me.

  81. WIW, you are really amazing! I truly appreciate all the hard work you are putting in spreading positive messages. I hope OFA is paying attention to your wonderful work that is focused on highlighting positive information about the President.

  82. Heads up!
Great Britain is advising all British citizens to leave Syria now while commercial airlines are still flying there. I haven’t seen a notice out of the US yet, but the British notice should probably be heeded now by all Americans and citizens of other western countries in Syria as well.

  83. This is what Ed Schultz and many others wanted, to teach elected Dems a lesson. Mind you, a bunch of those Dems who lost are in stable jobs, homes, doing just fine, but average day to day citizens living under Republican policy are catching hell.

I pray for this country every day. Our corrupt media keeps it up 24/7 promoting the right wing and trying to get us to act against our own best interests. Thank God for Obamabots and OFA.
