  1. I don’t know why everybody is getting so worked up about the 2012 budget. We’re all going to die anyway.

  2. OMG, I’m loving that top picture; I like his tone, emphasizing that the US can win a friendly international competition of innovation if we make investments in education and infrastructure.

  3. And if the two of them can’t improve our public educational system, nobody can. I’m convinced of that.

  4. Boehner and Co are pissed that PBO isn’t giving them any cover on the upcoming debate on SS and Medicare. The battle will be between the Repub and the Tea Party in the House. And the big guys are dreading it.

I still say that the upshot of the deficit debate will be single payer for Medicare with payments for results and not piece work, then little by little everyone will be swept into Medicare, starting with 55 and over, then mothers/children, then the unemployed or the employed without company insurance…and finally the whole house of cards will collapse and the health delivery system will have been reformed.

  5. I was sure this was going to be a collection of “Michelle and Barack PDA” photos that would make me insanely jealous here on Valentine’s Day (don’t tell my husband!) — this is better! PBO and VPJB are still my Valentines, though I am willing to share.
